The Superfast Cornwall programme is managed by Cornwall Development Company and funded by BT, the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Convergence Programme and Cornwall Council. 

Superfast Cornwall is committed to keeping any personal information you give us safe. We use the information we collect about you to send you communications about the superfast broadband programme in Cornwall & Isles of Scilly that may be of interest to you, either electronically or otherwise.

The following policy explains how your personal information will be treated. This policy may change from time to time.

How do we collect information?

We will collect personal information from you when you make an enquiry with us, request information updates via our "keep me in the loop" form, attend one of our events or otherwise provide us with personal information.

When we refer to "personal information" in this privacy policy, we mean information, which identifies you as an individual, or is capable of doing so. Accordingly, we may hold and use data about you in your capacity as a consumer, a business customer, as an individual acting on behalf of a business customer, or in any other capacity, for example, when you visit our websites.

What information do we collect about you and when do we collect it?

The types of information collected might include your name, business name (if applicable), email address, contact telephone numbers, private/business address and your requirements for superfast broadband.

How do we use this information?

We will use your personal information to provide you with the information you have requested. For instance if you have completed our "keep me in the loop" form, we will send you updates as the roll out of superfast broadband expands into new areas.

When you provide personally identifiable information to us, we may use it to provide you with ongoing information about the rollout of superfast broadband. We may also use it to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Superfast Cornwall will not rent, sell or lease this personally identifiable information to other companies or individuals. You have a right to access, rectify, modify and delete any data referring to you. In order to exercise this right please contact us immediately.

Sharing information with other people

Your information may be shared with BT Wholesale and Openreach as data processors for the purposes of checking the availability of superfast broadband to you.  (BT Wholesale and Openreach are businesses of British Telecommunications plc, registered office: 81 Newgate Street London EC1A 7AJ, registered in England no: 1800000).  The Superfast Cornwall programme is supplier neutral and your details will not be provided to nor used by BT Retail for the purpose of marketing broadband products and services to you.

Your information may be provided to other companies who provide administration services on our behalf, for example a mailing house or email marketing provider, but solely for the purpose of providing you with the information you have requested and not for marketing purposes by anyone other than Superfast Cornwall.  Your information will not be shared with any other parties other than our chosen processing agents.

Cookies

Cookies are information transferred from our website and stored on your computer. Cookies tell us how you use our sites and cookies store some of the information we ask you for. This information is stored on your computer so that the next time you come to the site we don't have to ask you again.

Because cookies are stored by your computer, you can set your computer so that it does not store cookies if you do not wish us to record this information.

Changes

Any information you share with us is securely stored in our databases or in our processing partners' databases. We operate an email opt-in policy, so should you wish to stop receiving information via email from us you are able to do this via the link included at the bottom of every marketing email we send you.

If you do not wish to receive marketing information from Superfast Cornwall by post please email info@superfastcornwall.org with your name, business name and postal address and enter 'postal opt-out' in the subject line.
