Superfast Cornwall is a pioneering programme to bring superfast broadband to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, making it one of the best connected places in the world by 2014.

Funded by the EU, BT and Cornwall Council, and managed by Cornwall Development Company, Superfast Cornwall is building a brand new superfast broadband network. This will have the power to transform the life, work and play of each and every one of the half a million people living in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. What's more, superfast broadband will boost the economy of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, enabling businesses to work more effectively in new ways and potentially reach out to new customers worldwide. It is a 'Big Build' that promises big wins.

This is a massive undertaking, never before attempted on this scale in a rural location. In fact, it is the largest ever build of a superfast broadband infrastructure in a rural area anywhere in the world.

Of course, an engineering project of this magnitude can't happen overnight - it will take over three years to bring superfast broadband to all of the 250,000 premises across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

But once the Big Build is complete, the superfast broadband infrastructure in Cornwall will be amongst the very best worldwide and will last for decades to come. Superfast Cornwall is building broadband for our future.
