All online at the same time -Joyce and Colin Duffin from Portreath

“The whole family is benefitting from superfast broadband, working, playing and keeping in touch with relatives abroad,” says Joyce Duffin.

Joyce and Colin Duffin and their children live in the seaside village of Portreath. A Councillor for Cornwall, Joyce helped spread the news of superfast broadband and is now seeing the benefits for every generation of the Duffin family.

Joyce explained: “Colin and I both work more efficiently thanks to the superfast connection – I am able to do more research online as part of my council duties, read news stories as soon as the become available and easily update my Facebook page relating to issues in my council ward.

“Colin, who works from home one day a week, is much more productive, allowing him to spend more time with us all.

“The whole family is benefitting from Superfast Broadband, working, playing and keeping in touch with relatives abroad. The children love to play on websites like CBeebies and with Grandpa and Grandma no longer in the UK, we can easily send photos and see them ‘in the flesh’ through Skype.

“I’m delighted that the Portreath community have this brilliant technology so early and for me and my family, it has opened up many new opportunities to improve our quality of life.”
