Can You Connect?
You can check your location using the Openreach line checker here. "Superfast Accepting Orders" means that you are in an FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) area and "Ultrafast Accepting Orders" means you are in a FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) area.
If your area is accepting orders the next step is to contact your service provider. A list of providers offering fibre broadband is here.
If you are in an FTTP are, note that not all service providers choose to office this service. Please see our FTTP Ordering page for more information.
You can find out more about predicted speeds and whether you are in an FTTC (Fibre to the Cabinet) or FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) area using the BT Wholesale checker.
- This is a more 'technical' output, but you are just looking to see whether "WBC FTTP" or FTTC (VDSL) speeds are available in the "Featured Products" column.
- "FTTP on demand" is a specialist product explained on our FAQ page.
- The checker only works for phone numbers that are provided by BT Wholesale, so will not work for Sky and TalkTalk Customers.
- If it does not work for your phone number, try the address checker.
If you are in an FTTP (Fibre to the Premises) area, note that not all service providers choose to offer this service. Please see our FTTP Ordering page for more information.
