University of the Village

This project is funded through the AHRC Connected Communities programme and is a collaboration between three HEIs (The Academy for Innovation and Research, University College Falmouth; The Digital Worlds Research Centre, University of Surrey; The Centre for the Digital Economy, University of Glamorgan) and BT. 

The project aims to explore the barriers facing rural communities in accessing university outreach programmes and to explore new modes of delivery, enhanced through harnessing the capacity of superfast broadband.  St Agnes is the first community in Cornwall to be involved.
